Trail account for RAP/BTP.

 

Step 1: Click on - SAP BTP cockpit

Step 2: Login with your email id.

Step 3: Create account.

        * Goto trial home and create sub account.

        * Select region US EAST(VA) - AWS.

        * Click on create.

        * Once the sub account is created click on Goto your account.

Step 4: Click on sub trail account.      

Step 5: Goto services and click on instances and subscriptions. Then click on create, provide the service name as ABAP environment. 

Step 6: Give instance name(any) and click on next.

Step 7: Give email in Json code, click on next and create.

Step 8: Navigate to object page (Click on arrow).


Step 9: Select service key and click on create.

Step 10: Once the service key is created, Click on 3 dots and view.

Step 11: Goto form page and copy URL.

Step 12: Open eclipse and create abap cloud project.

        * File -- New -- ABAP cloud project.

Step 13: Enter the service URL and click on next.

Step 14: You can login with credentials.

Step 15: Select the project name and click on next.

Step 16: project is created successfully.

Read statement new syntax in ABAP. (7.4+).

*  Before ABAP 7.4, we used READ TABLE statement to read the first matching record from the internal table  based upon key or index . * In SAP ABAP new syntax, instead of READ TABLE , we can use the table expressions. * We need to use the square bracket [ ], In the square bracket, we need to specify the key or index. * While using table expression, If the table entry does not exist, system throws the exception CX_SY_ITAB_LINE_NOT_FOUND. * Use line_exists statement to check the existence of a record.
